John Arbuthnott Building
University of Strathclyde
“The quality of buildings in their setting is a credit to a determined client and the skills of all those involved.” - Judges Citation Sir Robert Grieve Award 2002.
Our refurbishment of the Todd Building provides biomedical science laboratories, write-up, and office accommodation within the university’s city centre John Anderson Campus. Bringing the 3 departments of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physiology & Pharmacology, and Immunology under one roof, with flexibility in use, was the driving force behind the project.
The Todd building operates as a single complex with our new John Arbuthnott building and remained occupied and operational throughout the construction works. The project was designed within a particularly modest budget for this type of building.
